HOMEGROWN enterprise Mr DIY has emerged as the national-tier winner in the Retailer – Home Improvement Category at the recent World Branding Awards.

“Mr DIY is extremely honoured and proud to win this distinguished Brand of the Year award.

“We believe this recognition will bring Mr DIY greater heights in reputation and confidence in the brand across the globe,” said Mr DIY marketing head Andy Chin.

The World Branding Awards saw 270 brands from 33 countries named Brand of the Year in a ceremony held at the State Apartments of Kensington Palace in London.

“Mr DIY attributes today’s success to all management and front-liners for their continuous dedication, contribution and efforts in shaping what Mr DIY is today,” said Chin.

National-tier winners were judged on brand valuation, consumer market research and public online voting. Seventy per cent of the scoring process comes from consumer votes. There was only one winner in each category per country.

“The awards celebrate the achievements of some of the greatest brands around the globe. With an average of just six winners per country, it is truly a great achievement to be a winner of these awards,” said World Branding Forum chairman Richard Rowles.
