IF you wish to learn how start-ups persuade investors to invest RM100,000 or even millions in their ventures, you should attend the PUMM Entrepreneur Day at Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur on Nov 10.
The semi-finals and finals of The Entrepreneur Colosseum (TEC) organised by the Malaysian Entrepreneur Development Association (PUMM) will be held on the same day.
Sixteen start-ups will be shortlised from the 30 semi-finalists for the finals, to win prizes and gifts worth RM500,000.
In addition to the pitching competition, PUMM Entrepreneur Day is a platform for start-ups to gain understanding, knowledge and connection within the entrepreneur community.
There will be entrepreneurs and experts who will share details on crowdfunding, the use of technology in transformation, the myth of venture capital funds, and how to minimise steps in entrepreneurial processes.
There will also be a start-up bazaar and exhibition on the same day, with the goal of gathering 100 start-ups to showcase innovative products, technologies and services and to raise funds up to RM3mil.
“We will invite major domestic venture capital funds and angel investors to visit the exhibition to identify potential investment targets.
“There are also financial institutions and various types of entrepreneurial support service providers on site. It is a one-stop platform for start-ups to pursue growth plans,” said PUMM vice-president Datuk Seri Alvin Ang Chee Yoong.
