MIRI: The “Summer Camp” fire safety outreach programme should be conducted throughout the whole of Sarawak as its effectiveness has been proven in training regular people to handle emergency situations in Miri and its surrounding areas, said Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department director-general Mohamad Hamdan Wahid.

“Our department will draw up a proposal for the Sarawak State Government to launch this programme nationwide with the support of the Federal Government,’ he said.
