SIBU: The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department wants to have one volunteer fire brigade for every 1,300 firemen to provide better service to the commnity.
Its director Khirudin Drahman said by increasing the number of volunteers, which currently stood at 186, the burden of full-time firemen will be reduced.
