Indian community in Sarawak to create pool of business talents

Miri Indians celebrate an early Deepavali with the lighting of candles by Karambir (in turban) and Dr Chan (in white batik) while other guests look on.

MIRI: The Indian community in Sarawak are planning to create a pool of business-brains to chart the way forward for them to tap into the vast economic and industrial potentials of the state.

Venturing into the mainstream business and industrial sectors, they will be able to create a new future for the community who are small in numbers (less than 10,000 statewide) and who are now mostly in the professional fields, said Sarawak Indian Association vice-president Karambir Singh.
