‘Federal law needed to protect Ulu Muda’


FOLLOWING the Federal Government’s ban on logging in Ulu Muda, Kedah, since last month, Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP) is proposing several measures to ensure proper and sustainable protection in the water catchment area.

PBAPP chief executive officer Datuk Jaseni Maidinsa said the introduction of a federal law would help legally protect Ulu Muda as a ‘Northern Region Water Catchment Area’.
