RESIDENTS in coastal areas around Selangor have been cautioned to prepare for possible flooding due to a rise in sea levels caused by big waves from high tides.
The affected districts are the Petaling,Hulu Langat, Gombak, Sabak Bernam, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Selangor, Klang, Sepang and Kuala Langat.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) for Selangor said the north-east monsoon season is expected to occur between Oct 23 to Dec 26.
