CCTVs with night vision to stop illegal dumping

U says Jalan Tago 1 in Tago Industrial Park has become a common dumping ground despite the council’s warning notice.

CLOSED-circuit television (CCTV) cameras with night vision worth around RM300,000 will be installed in 10 areas within Batu Caves and Sungai Buloh to help Selayang Municipal Council’s (MPS) Solid Waste Management department tackle problems of illegal dumping.

Councillor U Chin Ong said there was an urgent need for these CCTVs to monitor indiscriminate dumping of domestic waste, renovation debris and broken furniture at industrial parks, housing areas, roadsides and entrances to forest trails.
