Preventing abuse by contractors

KUCHING: The Works Ministry will set up a Monitoring Unit in collaboration with the Entrepreneur Development Ministry and Sarawak Public Works Department to curb malpractice among bumiputra contractors in the state.

Its minister Baru Bian said the proposed unit would detect any wrongdoing in the procurement of government tenders.
