KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Job Portal, a portal developed under the Sabah Ministry of Education and Innovation will be strengthened to enhance its effectiveness in helping unemployed graduates get jobs.
Sabah Education and Innovation Minister Datuk Dr Yusof Yacob said the job portal will not only record the names of graduate job seekers but also their areas of specialisation in detail to make it easier for employers to choose the graduates they need.
“Graduates who are not employed can register their biodata with the Sabah Job Portal. We at the Sabah Job Portal will try to connect with statutory bodies or private companies.
“So when these private companies want to hire, they can visit the portal and (on the portal) there are already names (of graduates) according to the requirements,” he said.
Dr Yusof said this to reporters after attending the handing over of letters of appointment and the placement of Islamic religious education Phase Four and Five interim teachers at the Sabah Education Department. At the event, 56 interim teachers received their respective letters of appointment. — Bernama
