THE Federal Territories Ministry has fined its own canteen operator for not using biodegradable products, a move ministry officials say reinforces their commitment to ban all forms of plastic that are harmful to the environment.

The ministry’s Strategic Development Division secretary Lokman Jamaan said imposing the fine on their canteen shows that they were serious in pushing forward the green agenda.
