Investigate failed water supply project, urges Pelawan rep


SIBU: Sarawak DAP vice-chairman David Wong wants the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to investigate the RM900mil Tanjung Manis water supply project as Phase One did not achieve its objective.

Speaking at a press conference, Wong who is also Pelawan assemblyman, said the package was supposed to produce 125 million litres per day of raw water from Sungai Maaw in Sibu for supply to industries and households in Tanjung Manis via the river bank filtration (RBF) system.
