Conference aims to nurture business leaders

Chan says the event is aimed at building a collaborative network among stakeholders.

REGISTRATION is now open for the NEX (Nurture, Engage and Exchange) Penang Leadership Conference.

Organised by Livingston House of Learning and Settlements, the event will be held at the E&O Hotel in Penang from Nov 8 to 10.

Participants will benefit from the insights shared by a panel of 17 speakers which includes deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister Hannah Yeoh and Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Minister Yeo Bee Yin.

State Tourism Development, Heritage, Culture and Arts committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin said they are expecting 400 participants to attend the conference.

“The goal of the conference isto inspire, refresh and challenge participants to develop leadership skills.

“It is also to equip participants with fresh perspectives and develop new competencies to be effective in their corporate world and society,” he said recently.

Organising chairman Datuk Jerry Chan said the event is aimed at building a collaborative network among stakeholders while strengthening their bond via partnership.

“We have the information and technology, but partnership and leadership are the main keys to harness the brainpower and workforce in order to surpass our competitors and go even further.”

Super saver rates are RM880 per participant for a minimum group of three, and RM980 for lone participants, valid until Oct 6.

Payment made between Oct 7 and Nov 7 will entitle participants to early saver rates of RM1,080 per person for a minimum group of three, and RM1,280 for loneparticipants.

Walk-in rates are RM1,580.
