Loads of fun for Starwalkers

THE fun did not end even after the participants of Penang Starwalk 2018 crossed the finishing line.

In store for them were interesting activities and yummy delights at the booths of the various sponsors.

There was a long queue at the booth of platinum sponsor — telecommunications company YES, as participants tried their hand at Ball in The Bucket.

Those who managed to toss two and three balls into the baskets respectively were given a pen and an umbrella each.

The players first had to like the YES Facebook page before they were eligible to take part.

YTL Digital Sdn Bhd chief operations officer Leong Chee Sung said the game was just to add extra fun to Starwalk.

The US Department of Agriculture, a gold sponsor, served yummy treats such as muffins, hash browns and fresh apples among other delights as famished Starwalkers lined up to get their much needed nourishment.

US Department of Agriculture Foreign Agricultural Service Regional Agricultural attache Joani Dong said it was the first time they joined hands with Starwalk, which was a wonderful platform to promote American products such as apples, potatoes and raisins.

On the 11 Harley-Davidson motorcycles from Harley Owners Group Penang Chapter that led the Starwalkers, Dong said Harley-Davidson is also an American brand.

Silver sponsor Eastern & Oriental Bhd (E&O) gave out 800 pots of spring onion plants and green spinach seeds to excited Starwalkers under their Think Green initiative.

Its group strategy and communications assistant general manager Ann Tan said the number of pots given out was increased from 500 last year to 800 this year.

F&N Beverages Marketing Sdn Bhd gave out samples of 100Plus Isotonic drinks to Starwalkers.

Its regional trade marketing executive Tan Teong Li said Starwalk was one of their main events in the northern region.

Wiitrac Elevator Sdn Bhd, a new entry into the silver sponsor list, was happy to be on board with Starwalk as it was in line with their Aritco HomeLift, a green product with 95% recyclable components.

Joining the lineup of silver sponsors this year was Ewein Zenith Sdn Bhd.

Hunza Group managing director Datuk Khor Siang Gin said they were delighted to host Starwalk at Gurney Paragon Mall again as it was an event that brought the community together.
