BDO Malaysia has once again given its full support to the upcoming #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk 2018.
More than 100 employees will be among the participants joining the walk this weekend, thanks to the generous sponsorship by the audit firm.
The company’s chairman Datuk Feizal Mustapha said employees were looking forward to taking part in the walk this weekend.
“We are so encouraged by the immediate response of our colleagues to fly the country’s colours even at short notice, despite their busy schedules and the long weekend,” he said.
He also finds the walk to be a good platform for family, friends and colleagues to bond while encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
Meanwhile, the company’s advisory executive director Mok Chew Yin lauded the walk for its efforts in promoting unity, diversity and tolerance among Malaysians.
“It is a great initiative to remind us we are all Malaysians, we are one nation, and we are proud to be involved in it.
“As part of the company’s management team, we have always been committed to promote unity, diversity and harmony.
“We train our staff to be good accountants and provide them with career opportunities regardless of their diverse background.
“With these values, we drive our firm forward and we believe that these same values can be applied to move Malaysia forward as one nation, regardless of diverse backgrounds,” said Mok, adding that this would be the company’s second year participating.
Participation is not only limited to the company’s Malaysian employees but also extended to those on secondment for their training in the headquarters.
“When our colleagues from other countries heard about this, they too are excited to join and be part of this meaningful event.
“Altogether, we are about seven colleagues from countries including Vietnam, Cambodia and China walking together with us,” said advisory director Lim Sin Han.
#AnakAnakMalaysia Walk is a collaboration between Malaysia’s well-known property developer Eco World Development Group Bhd and Star Media Group.
Other sponsors for the event include Panasonic (Silver Sponsor) and DRB-HICOM (Car Sponsor).
