GARLAND makers in Selangor have been urged to consider using natural fibres obtained from the bark of the banana tree to make garlands for religious purpose.
The call came from Selangor executive councillor V. Ganabathirau in line with the Selangor government’s reduce-plastic policy which had drastically reduced the use of plastic bags in the state since 2008.
