DEVELOPER Ewein Zenith Sdn Bhd has made its debut in Penang Starwalk 2018 by stepping in as a silver sponsor.

Its sales and marketing vice-president Leon Lee said the company was no stranger to sponsoring sports events organised by The Star such as Fit For Life Fun Run.

Lee said the company is sponsoring RM30,000 for Penang Starwalk.

He added the collaboration with The Star was in line with the green concept of the company’s latest project ‘City of Dreams’ at Bandar Tanjung Pinang, Tanjong Tokong.

“With an ever-growing presence in Malaysia, Ewein Zenith is set to become a benchmark property developer in green world development.

“It is part of our culture to promote health and wellness, and Penang Starwalk is very much in line with our vision,” Lee said.

Ewein Zenith’s ‘City of Dreams’ is a gold Green Building Index-compliant project which features a trash valet service, food waste processing management, solar power system, rainwater harvesting system and a mobile app for facility management.

The project consists of luxury residences, resorts, commercial hubs and retail outlets with facilities offering healthcare and recuperation as well as retirement homes.

“On our own, we have also organised the City of Dreams Hike, City of Dreams Run, and City of Dreams Ride.

“We are planning to add another event, the City of Dreams Challenge.

“Sports events are healthy activities for everyone, especially the younger generation who are fixated with their gadgets,” Lee said.

He was speaking after handing over a mock cheque to Star Media Group Bhd regional operations general manager (north) Simone Liong at Menara IJM Land in Lebuh Tunku Kudin 3 in Gelugor, Penang.

Liong said that Penang Starwalk would not have been successful over the years without the support and contribution from sponsors and partners.

She also said that over the years, Starwalk had managed to capture the interest of the younger generation.

The Star is aware that the youths of today are attached to video games. They are always in front of some screen and that is unhealthy in the long run.

“So every year, we encourage youths to join Penang Starwalk.

“Last year, through rigorous planning, we managed to attract more than 10,000 schoolchildren,” she said.

The 7km non-competitive walk will be flagged off from Gurney Paragon Mall at 7am on Sept 2.

Star Media Group Bhd is organising the event. Its platinum sponsor is YTL Communications Sdn Bhd.

The US Department of Agriculture is the gold sponsor while Eastern & Oriental Bhd, F&N Beverages Marketing Sdn Bhd, Wiitrac Elevator Sdn Bhd and Ewein Zenith Sdn Bhd are the silver sponsors.

The official venue provider is Gurney Paragon Mall.
