Farmer makes hefty sacrifice

A ONE-TONNE bull was the heaviest animal sacrificed during Hari Raya Haji celebration at a mosque in Penang with a history that traces back to the late 19th century.

The animal, which had a market value of RM15,000, was among nine cows and 19 goats slaughtered during the celebration, also known as Hari Raya Aidiladha, at Masjid Jamek Shaik Eusoff in Jalan Air Itam, George Town.
