T’ganu Peranakan Festival will be called Mek and Awang Festival next year

KUALA TERENGGANU: After about five years, the annual Terengganu Peranakan Festival will be known as the Mek and Awang Festival starting next year.

State Youth Development, Sports and Non-Governmental Organisation Committee chairman Wan Sukairi Wan Abdullah said the name change would reflect the solidarity of the Terengganu people in being able to accept and adapt to different cultures harmoniously.
