THE state government is in the initial stages of preparing a comprehensive development plan to identify traditional Malay villages as tourism products, said Johor Women Development and Tourism Committee chairman Liow Cai Tung.

She said there were 45 traditional villages within the Johor Baru City Council (MBJB) which have the potential to become tourist attractions.
