PENANG Chinese Chamber of Commerce (PCCC) will announce the top three winners of the ‘Centennial Charm of Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce Building’ photography contest at Jalan Padang Kota Lama at 7pm today.

The top three winners will take home cash prizes of RM5,000, RM3,000 and RM2,000 respectively while there are five consolation prizes worth RM500 each.

PCCC president Datuk Seri Choot Ewe Seng said the highlight of the celebration will be a tour on a ferry that passes by the Swetten-ham Pier, North Butterworth Container Terminal and Penang Bridge.

“Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng and Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow will be the guests of honour during the two-day celebration themed ‘New Era, New Challenge, New Force, New Mission’,” he said in a press conference recently.

He added that about 500 delegates were expected to attend the event.

“It will be unique as we are celebrating two anniversaries at the same time.

“So far, the response has been overwhelming,” he said.

This year signifies PCCC’s 100th year of establishment at the building opposite Fort Cornwallis in Light Street, George Town and the 115th year of its founding.
