Bilateral trade relations between Hong Kong and Malaysia have long been robust.
Adding to Hong Kong’s business advantages, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) organises more than 30 international exhibitions each year to bring together buyers and suppliers from both economies to develop their business.
HKTDC director (Malaysia) Hoh Jee Eng announced that nine international fairs, which cover watches and clocks, fashion, electronic and lighting products, green products, eyewear as well as wine and spirits will be held in Hong Kong from September to November.
These fairs serve as ideal platforms for traders and suppliers from Malaysia to expand their businesses into new markets.
The fairs are – HKTDC Hong Kong Watch and Clock Fair (Sept 4 to 8), Centrestage (Sept 5 to 8), HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) (Oct 13 to 16 ), electronicAsia (Oct 13 to 16), Eco Expo Asia – International Trade Fair on Environmental Protection (Oct 25 to 28), HKTDC Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo (Oct 26 to 29), HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) (Oct 27 to 30), HKTDC Hong Kong Optical Fair (Nov 7 to 9), and HKTDC Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair (Nov 8 to 10).
“The HKTDC fairs attracted about 39,000 exhibitors and over 750,000 visitors from all over the world in 2017/2018 with nearly 1,000 exhibitors and over 36,000 buyers from Asean,” said Hon.
“Synergising with our mobile-friendly sourcing services like the award-winning hktdc.com, online exhibition platforms, HKTDC Marketplace app and more than 20 print and online product magazines, our exhibitions are the perfect starting point for year-round business connections between buyers and suppliers, facilitated by our integrated online-offline marketplace.”
She highly encourages more Malaysian corporations, buyers, distributors and retailers to explore business opportunities and experience the benefit of sourcing and tapping into global markets through HKTDC’s trade fairs.
