OPPOSITION leader Datuk Saarani Mohamad has asked the Pakatan Harapan state government not to follow in the footsteps of the Federal Government by putting the blame on policies carried out by the previous government.
He said the Pakatan Federal Government blamed the policies of the previous government for leaving the country in deep debt.
He said the people must realise that the issue of national debt and being “almost bankrupt” were created to divert the people’s attention because Pakatan was unable to fulfil its manifesto.
“It is true that it is still too early to judge them. A hundred days is not enough, but these were the promises made during GE14.
“We must remember that Barisan National fulfilled 99.6% of our manifesto promises made in GE13,” he said at the state assembly on Tuesday.
Saarani added that Barisan leaders were not “mad” to keep on harping on the 100 days issue.
He said during the election campaign, Barisan stated that it was impossible for Pakatan to fulfil its promises in 100 days. But Pakatan top leaders insisted that they could do it, if given the mandate.
“The voters fell for the sweet promises. So now, fulfil your promises and do not point the finger at others when you are not able to do it,” he added.
