NGO calls for polluting factories in Kuala Langat to be closed

Tan (in yellow T-shirt) handed a memorandum against the factories that caused pollution to Dr Xavier (in blue suit) at Kuala Langat District Council.

NGO Persatuan Tindakan Alam Sekitar Kuala Langat, with the support of residents of five townships in the Kuala Langat area in Selangor, wants to stop 35 factories that it claims are causing air pollution from processing plastic waste.

Its chairman Tan Ching Hin said the factories operated around Banting, Jenjarom, Sungai Sedu, Sungai Jarom and Telok Panglima Garang.
