Exco member: Fishermen’s livelihood will be protected


Fishermen protesting against the reclamation works outside the developer’s office using coffins in a symbolic gesture.

MELAKA: Melaka Agriculture, Entrepreneur Development and Agro-based Committee chairman Norhizam Hassan Baktee has assured fishermen from the Portuguese settlement here that he will address their concerns over reclamation works along the coastline.

Norhizam said he will not ignore the plight of the fishermen in the state.
