Burst pipe slows down traffic in PJ

The underground burst pipe was replaced and the hole covered up again.

AN UNDERGROUND pipe in Jalan Semangat, Petaling Jaya, near the Sin Chew office measuring 50cm in diameter burst at about 4am yesterday causing part of the dual carriageway to sink slightly, leading to water seeping onto the road.

The taps ran dry in Section 17, and traffic snarl ensued as vehicles coming from Section 17 and SS2 got into a gridlock when part of the road was closed from 6.30am to facilitate repair works.
