ERAMAN, the airport travel retail and duty-free brand by Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd, is celebrating its 25th anniversary by rewarding customers with prizes worth over RM1.2mil.

Two new Mercedes Benz CLA Coupe AMG Line, international holiday packages to Scotland, Austria, and Switzerland, gift vouchers, designer handbags and jewellery as well as points for Petron Miles Card are up for grabs in the Eraman Shopping Extravaganza #25AmazingYears Contest.

To be in the running, customers need to spend a minimum of RM350 at any Eraman participating outlet.

Malaysia Airports acting group chief executive officer Raja Azmi Raja Nazuddin, who launched the contest at KL International Airport (KLIA), said it was aimed at introducing visitors to the many offerings and value-added services at Malaysian airports while handsomely rewarding them for their spending.

He said Eraman was the first retailer within Malaysia Airports to launch shopping campaigns that give out prizes on this scale.

“Our first campaign in 2016 attracted more than 250,000 patrons. Thanks to the tremendous support, the campaign makes a comeback for a third year after some 420,000 participated last year.

“This year, our contest is specially tailored for Eraman’s 25 years of existence in the travel retail and duty-free industry,” he said.

Raja Azmi said airport shopping had become an integral part of air travel and they aimed to live up to the mission of creating joyful experiences.

One way, he said, was to continuously carry out such campaigns.

“With the significant growth in 2017 of 8.5% to 96 million at all airports in Malaysia, MAHB retail sales improved by 24% as compared to 2016,” he said.

Raja Azmi added that with the campaign’s impressive performance in the past, the four-month campaign was projected to record a double-digit revenue growth for Eraman.

He said they want to make Eraman a destination of choice rather than just a compulsory phase of the customer’s journey.

“Our goal is to attract passengers to spend more time at the airport by giving a joyful and better shopping experience, convenience and value purchases,” he said.

He added that there was plenty more to come at Eraman, including redevelopment which will see a radical and refreshing change in the months to come.

Partners such as Diageo Private Limited Company, Malayan Banking Bhd and Petron International Sdn Bhd have been roped in for the campaign to help grow the Eraman brand further in the travel retail and duty-free industry.

During the campaign period, fans of Johnnie Walker will be able to save up to 20% discount on selected Johnnie Walker and Singleton products, new and existing Petron Miles cardmembers will receive 350 Petron Miles points with a purchase of RM350 and above, while 200 lucky Maybank winners will receive RM250 cash rebate which will be awarded back to their Maybank card.

The Eraman Shopping Extravaganza #25AmazingYears contest 2018 is held at all Eraman participating outlets, except Express at KLIA and klia2.

The contest ends Oct 31.
