AFTER its global success, French jewellery brand Les Georgettes by Altesse has finally reached Malaysian shores, thanks to Habib Group.
The brand made its debut at Bangsar Village 2, Kuala Lumpur, with its first kiosk at the mall’s ground floor.
By combining the savoir-faire of Altesse and Texier, Les Georgettes by Altesse brings together the finest in jewellery and leather craftsmanship.
Founded in 1905, Altesse is France’s leading jewellery manufacturer while Texier is a distinguished leather goods manufacturer in Brittany since 1951.
Both are part of the Renaissance Luxury Group with traditional French know-how to produce the highest-quality jewellery pieces.
“Les Georgettes by Altesse features a unique concept of fine metal jewellery and interchangeable coloured leather bands.
“It allows wearers to customise their own accessories by mixing and matching the design, size, finishing and reversible coloured leather bands of their choice, while each band features a different colour on each side.
“With more than 20,000 combination possibilities, customers are sure to create their unique piece for every occasion,” said Renaissance Luxury Group APAC sales director Elsa Pages, adding that bracelets are the brand’s main products.
Les Essentielles, the brand’s best- selling collection, offers bracelets in 18 designs, in six sizes and six finishes.
This collection also features rings that come in eight designs in three sizes and three finishes to match a variety of coloured fluid-perspex bands, pendants to combine with three interchangeable chains or cotton cords in different lengths and finishes as well as earrings in four designs, three sizes and three finishes.
For those who want some sparkle, the Les Precieuses collection features customisable bracelets and rings with cubic zirconia that is perfect for any occasion.
The latest additions to the Les Georgettes by Altesse family are Les Georgettes for Men, the brand’s men’s jewellery line, and Les Miss Georgettes, dedicated to little girls.
Pages added that Les Georgettes by Altesse was a lifestyle personalised brand with its line of product offerings.
“Since the brand’s debut in 2015 in France, Les Georgettes by Altesse has been expanding rapidly throughout the world.
“Six months after its debut, the brand has 600 retailers across France.
“Today, it has an international distribution network of eight subsidiaries worldwide and premier distributors in over 60 countries along with 3,000 points of sale,” said Pages.
She added that Malaysia was one of the main and matured markets to set the brand presence towards developing the brand throughout South-East Asia.
There are two main collections in a year – Spring Summer and Fall Winter, and exclusive collections for festive seasons.
Habib Jewels Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Seri Meer Sadik Habib said Habib was excited about Les Georgettes by Altesse.
“It is one of the fastest-growing brands in the world and we find it very suitable for the Malaysian market.
“One of the best things about Les Georgettes by Altesse is its versatility.
“With just one bracelet and a coloured leather band, you get three looks by wearing the bracelet as it is or with either side of the band that features a different colour,” he said, adding that the pieces are all manufactured in France.
Adding to the brand’s outlet concept, Meer Sadik said the gallery-like atmosphere allowed customers to walk around casually.
“We travel a lot to learn the latest trends globally and selectively bring in the best brands to offer world class jewellery items at an affordable price to the market, which is our core value.”
Meer Sadik also believes in being a personal jewellery consultant to customers rather than pushing sales.
“We create long-term relationships with our customers. We advise and guide them based on their needs.”
He said Habib planned to open at least three to five Les Georgettes by Altesse stores within this year.
“The next two will be in Klang Valley while Johor Baru, Penang and East Malaysia are future potential locations,” said Meer Sadik, adding that the total investment for one kiosk ranges between RM500,000 to RM1mil.
