Water crisis hits more than 1,000 in interior Marudi

With no piped-in water, rural folk in interior Sarawak depend on rainwater for drinking and cooking. A drought in northern Sarawak means there is no watter for them.

MIRI: More than 1,000 people in the interior Marudi district in northern Sarawak are facing a water crisis due to acute shortage of clean water.

These rural folks living in settlements in Puyut, Lubok Nibong, Rumah Entawal, Rumah Philip, Rumah Merikan and along Sungai Sebatang have no more clean water for cooking, drinking or bathing.
