Scholarships for 34 Sabah school-leavers

KOTA KINABALU: In high school, top student Randy Philip, 18, used to supplement his family’s income by giving tuition classes to his peers for RM10 per session.

Now, Randy, who is one of three children of lorry driver Philip Benjamin, 59, and housewife Alice Markus, 48, is one of the 34 outstanding Sabah students who received a coveted scholarship under the Petronas Education Sponsorship Programme (PESP).
