First-time rep to be S’gor Opposition chief

FIRST-time assemblyman Rizam Ismail,37, from Umno, has been nominated to be the Opposition leader in the Selangor state assembly, says state Speaker Ng Suee Lim.

“Rizam’s name was the only one proposed by Selangor Umno. I will discuss this after receiving the official letter,” said Ng, adding that there was no need to call for a vote since Umno had the most number of assemblymen from the Opposition in Selangor.
