Fight nearly breaks out as unknown men disrupt PC for Batu Caves rally

A SCHEDULED press conference by Reform Batu Caves and Persatuan Hindu Agamam Ani Malaysia on a rally planned for Sunday had to be called off following an altercation with several unknown individuals.

The press conference today was supposed to touch on the BatuMalai Maha Rally tomorrow in front of the Batu Caves temple.

However, things went south when a group of six men, who refused to identify themselves, disrupted the meeting before it could even begin.

They hurled accusations, including personal attacks, at the group’s chairman Arun Dorasamy.

One allegation they made was that Arun was financially bankrupt.

When asked to comment, Arun declined, saying it was a personal issue.

“These individuals trespassed into a private press conference and refused to say who they were,” he said.

The meeting was halted when a fight nearly broke out between the two sides.

Arun said he would be lodging a police report on the matter.

Despite the disruption, Arun said the rally would go on as planned. However, they would be relocating it from inside the temple grounds to the space beneath the flyover just outside the temple grounds.
