Natural treasures take centre stage


One of the more unusually shaped bonsai at the exhibition. Such trees can take decades to shape and some have been known to survive for hundreds of years.

IT takes avid bonsai collector Ng Chaw Weng some six hours a day to tend to his 200 miniature trees of various species at his home.

The 61-year-old retired pastry chef said he waters his bonsai plants three times a day.
