WHAT should have been a celebratory weekend turned into unbearable suffering for residents of Taman Pinggiran Putra in Seri Kembangan after an illegal dump near their houses caught fire.

Firefighters have been battling fires on the 0.6ha parcel of land located beneath high-tension cables since last Friday.
