A CHINESE group received the thumbs up when they took the initiative to distribute free food to the Muslim community in front of the oldest mosque in Penang.

The group of about 30 well-wishers stood under the hot sun in front of the Acheen Street Mosque in George Town to give out 530 packets of free vegetarian fried bee hoon and bottled water to mosque-goers and passers-by.
