THE 2018 Fifa World Cup is just around the corner and Astro’s broadcast sponsors Aset Kayamas Sdn Bhd and Etika Sdn Bhd’s Wonda Coffee are all set to add to the excitement.
Aset Kayamas executive director Michael Chai said the World Cup has evolved since 1930 to suit the football climate and growing interest in the game.
“Fifa World Cup relates to us as we have also been evolving, changing mindsets, innovating and designing homes to cater to our customers since our inception.
“We see Fifa World Cup and Aset Kayamas as a natural fit,” he said.
Etika marketing vice-president Santharuban T. Sundaram said Wonda Coffee would introduce a limited edition beverage in conjunction with the international football event.
“Wonda Cofffee is delighted to be working with Aset Kayamas in celebrating and wrapping up the biggest football event of the year,” he added.
To celebrate the finale of the World Cup, Aset Kayamas will be organising a day of fun-filled activities at its Desa Sentral project site on July 15.
Fans can look forward to special appearances by celebrities and football legends leading up to the screening of the final match.
Apart from Aset Kayamas and Wonda coffee, other renowned brands supporting Astro’s World Cup broadcast include Coca-Cola, Hisense, ViVO, McDonalds, Nivea Men and Mamee Double Decker.
Astro Sports chief Lee Choong Khay said as the official broadcaster of the World Cup, Astro would broadcast all 64 matches, of which 37 are exclusive to Astro.
The matches, to be broadcast live and in HD, will also be available on mobile devices via the Astro Go and Stadium Astro apps.
