Lamb meat is used as filling for the bread.

WITH 38 different styles of lamb dishes, the Ramadan buffet at Sedap Restaurant in Pullman KLCC, is something not to be missed.

Lamb lovers are in for a treat as dishes like lamb cooked with basil leaves, lamb briyani, lamb rendang and lamb cooked with kesum leaves are on the menu.

Grilled lamb with a range of dipping sauces is also available.

Sedap Kitchen junior sous chef Syamsyul Azhar Mat Aris said lamb dishes were popular during Ramadan.

“Diners can experience an exciting culinary journey tasting different lamb dishes,” he said.

About 200 authentic and fusion local dishes are on the buffet.

The Nasi Tumpang served with Cod Fish Tempoyak, Spiced Boxing Chicken and Grilled Pigeon Percik is a must-try.

The Nasi Tumpang comprises pandan rice that comes with anchovies, peanuts and omelette wrapped into a cone.

“The pandan rice is arranged layer by layer with the ingredients inside.

“When diners tuck in, the rice will fall apart with all the ingredients in the mix.

“Using cod fish for the tempoyak is something different,” he said.

The aromatic rice really whet my appetite and it was quite filling.

The cod, a substitute for the traditional patin in the tempoyak, was something extraordinary as it offered a softer and more flaky flesh.

The chicken was grilled to perfection while the fragrant cured quail in turmeric coconut paste was delicious.

Most of the lamb dishes are cooked curry or rendang style and are not too spicy.

After dinner, treat yourself to desserts like pralines, chocolate coated dates, dodol coated with caramelised nuts, and durian parfait, to name a few.

The Ramadan buffet is available from 6.30pm to 9.30pm until June 14 and priced at RM168 per adult and RM84 per child aged below 12 years old.

For guests who want to host their own private buka puasa or corporate events, the hotel is offering a selection of menus starting from RM150 per person for a minimum of 50 people.

There is also a full sahur buffet from 4.30am to 5.30am daily, serving salads, pastries, cereal as well as local dishes.
