Former Bukit Beruntung Estate workers, who were left in the lurch after the Desa Beruntung housing project in Rawang was abandoned, are demanding that the developer give them the 4ha land meant for the project.

Parti Sosialis Malaysia treasurer Sivarajan Arumugam, who called for a press conference to highlight the matter, said an agreement was made in 1991 between the workers’ union and the developer to provide housing for the former estate workers once the land was developed.
