Hawker centre owners do their part to ease congestion

After discussions, the restaurant owners have agreed to only use the public parking bays after 7pm and employ Rela members to monitor traffic.

AWARE of the congestion caused by their ‘food court’ businesses, the owners of five large hawker centres in Cheras Traders Square have agreed to cut back on setting up of tables in public parking spaces.

Balakong assemblyman Eddie Ng met with the owners on Friday to discuss the heavy congestion caused by their actions, which has now come to the attention of the Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj).
