KOTA KINABALU: Celebrity chef Datuk Ismail Ahmad set the kitchen at a hotel here “on fire” during the showcase of his signature Malay dishes held in conjunction with the month of Ramadan.
A crowd gathered at the Promenade Hotel cafe to witness Chef Ismail in action, as he prepared one of his 17 signature “Dapur Berapi” (Kitchen on Fire) dishes – Nasi Ulam Chef Ismail – in a half-hour cooking demonstration.
