Smorgasbord of dance delights

DJ Mass spins it up in his inimitable style in Le Noir KL tonight.

LE NOIR KL serves up a weekend party smorgasboard tonight and tomorrow.

TONIGHT, there’s Blackout with DJ Mass, Kooler and DJ Mie in the Club Lounge. With an illustrious resume that includes helming the decks at landmark hotspots around the world including Armani/Prive nightclub, Movida, Buddha Bar, Café Del Mar and Sanctuary in Dubai, as well as VLV and Zouk in Singapore and Malaysia, Mass is an undisputed talent in the entertainment industry.

His accolades and reputation as a hardworking and creative DJ have allowed him to work alongside many of the top local and international DJs and serve as a mentor, leading to the introduction of many leading talented DJs into the industry.

Not only is his name synonymous with the ever-growing nightlife community and dynamic DJing industry, Mass has been one of the top DJs in the Middle East and Asia.

After 15 years of being in the entertainment industry in Dubai, taking his next step into the foray by entering the Asian market, DJ Mass is now a leading force in the Singaporean scene.

DJ Mie has a sophisticated appeal and charisma in putting together the best music and selection in his sets. As early as his first residency in 1993, he has always put a mark of influences on people who come to listen to his musical styles, making him one of the most sought-after DJs in the industry. His versatility and efficiency in changing styles makes him a proud owner of his success as a disc jockey.

Kooler is known for dropping an eclectic selection of urban music in conjunction with the crowd. More recently, Kooler was handpicked and endorsed to represent the flagship of DJ gear, Pioneer DJ. With extensive international concert dates as well as internationally reputed club residences in Europe, Africa and Asia.

On the Roof Terrace, there’s Tales of the Terrace with Eugene and Groovedoctor in the mix with house and eclectic music, while downstairs, J Dougie goes in the mix.

TOMORROW, on Roof Terrace there’s Sing it Black with Circuitbreaker and DJ Mie playing house music all night. Circuitbreaker started his passion for music in the late 1980s with a love of early electro, then moving through genres such as acid house, techno, breakbeat and deep house.

With a music collection that literally spans decades, his sets truly demonstrate the often clichéd “journey”, playing the latest rockin’ tunes, hypnotising bass lines, undiscovered gems and some pure grin inducing hands in the air classics.

Having played many clubs in the early nineties, under many different guises, he took a step back from the live scene, all the while continuing to provide a new mix every few months for those in the know.

Since 2016, he decided to step out from the shadows once more and take to the decks at Le Noir KL and various venues around the region.

Over in Club Lounge, Deviate goes R&B, hip hop and trap with residents DJ Nesh, C7 and MC Kal, while downstairs sees Charleston Cornelius in the mix.
