PANDAN PAS is crying foul after three of its billboards were taken down by authorities over the weekend.

Its election director Meor Rithuan Mohd Said said the billboards were deemed “provocative” by the Election Commission and removed by Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ).

It had several messages including the PAS manifesto and PAS Sifar Rasuah.

“These billboards were placed throughout the state, but only the ones in Pandan Indah were removed.

“None of the other councils removed them. This is double standard by the authorities,” he said during a press conference.

Meor added that MPAJ should have contacted PAS’ monitoring agents before removing them.

“If the size was the issue, we would have applied for a permit,” he said, adding similar sized billboards from other parties were not removed.

He added that the estimated loss for the billboards was RM9,000.
