MELAKA: State DAP deputy chairman Norhizam Hassan Baktee hopes to achieve what his father could not over three decades ago – win the Pengkalan Batu state seat.

Norhizam’s late father, Hassan Baktee Mohd, had contested the seat – known as Peringgit then – three times in the general elections between the 1970s and early 1980s as a DAP candidate and lost.
