MIRI: Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan mobile trucks are dogging each other here.
On Saturday, SUPP scheduled its public ceramah at the Boulevard Commercial Centre with PKR’s just 100m away.
The Pakatan speakers hammered on allegations of corruptions and other accusations against national leaders.
They emphasised the need for a change in the Federal Government.
The Miri SUPP leaders spoke about the development of Miri and Sarawak.
They said a stronger Sarawak Barisan presence would enable them to fight for the state’s rights.
“Sarawak Barisan is not beholden to anyone unlike PKR and DAP leaders,” said SUPP information chief Adam Yii (pic).
SUPP secretary-general Datuk Sebastian Ting is taking on PKR’s incumbent MP Dr Michael Teo Yu Keng in a one-to-one rematch.
In 2013, Dr Teo defeated Ting by 1,992 votes. Miri has 80,542 registered voters.
