THE Selangor government has returned half of its reserves to the rakyat.

PKR vice-president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali said Selangor had reserves worth RM8bil but of that sum, half was given back to the people through various outreach programmes.

He cited the Smart Selangor free bus service, Kasih Ibu Smart Selangor (Kiss), business capital aid and Skim Peduli Sihat.

Azmin said this during the Ceramah Perdana Amanat at Taman Medan in PJS 2.

He added the state spent RM50mil for the Smart Selangor free bus service while RM35mil was allocated for small businesses in the form of no-interest loans.

Skim Peduli Sihat programme which cost the state RM125mil, offers families with a house-hold income of less than RM3,000 a medical card which enables them to seek treatment at private clinics for up to RM700.

Some 40,000 mothers received assistance of RM2,400 a year under Kiss for which the state government spent RM100mil.

Meanwhile, Azmin reiterated there were only two serious contenders in GE14.

“One is BN and another is PH. The rest are pengacau (spoilers),”

He said the public should only vote for parties that can form a government.

Azmin hailed DAP for agreeing to use the PKR logo for GE14.

“I want to thank DAP because they are willing to sacrifice for the country,” he said.
