Company’s campaign targets underinsured Malaysians


ETIQA Group has launched its “Fast vs Easy” campaign, partnering with singer Datuk Zainal Abidin as well as actor and film-maker Datuk Afdlin Shauki.

The campaign is aimed at spreading the message to the underinsured, who contribute almost half of the Malaysian population, that Etiqa’s service is fast and easy during purchase, claims submission and claims disbursement.

Zainal represents “Fast” while Afdlin represents “Easy”.

The launch was attended by Etiqa Group Takaful chairman Datuk Majid Mohamad, Etiqa Group Insurance and Takaful chief executive officer Kamaludin Ahmad, members of Etiqa’s senior management committee, as well as Zainal and Afdlin.

Kamaludin said as a national insurance and takaful company, it was their responsibility to share with all Malaysians that unexpected events can happen and it is important to have adequate protection.

“Without protection, your loved ones will not only struggle emotionally, but be burdened financially.

“Zainal and Afdlin are well-known public figures who share the same belief as Etiqa, which is to build a better Malaysia for all Malaysians.

“We do this by creating a fast and easy experience, whether it is to purchase, submit claims or receive payouts.

“‘Fast and easy’ is not just a tagline, it’s our organisational culture and brand promise,” said Kamaludin.

He added that Etiqa was awarded “Best Takaful Operator for Bancassurance” and “Best Takaful Operator for General Business” by the Malaysian Takaful Association.

The group is also the “iBanding Winner of Motor Insurance Award 2017/2018” and “iBanding Winner of Motor Takaful Award 2017/2018”.

Recently, Etiqa was awarded “The Fastest Claims Payment 2017” by Perodua, beating 13 others in the process.

Zainal and Afdlin said Etiqa’s vision to be fast and easy for consumers resonated with them.

“Our personal humanitarian goals are perfectly aligned with Etiqa.”
