JOHOR BARU: The state’s largest shopping centre Paradigm Mall JB is expanding its occupancy rate with the opening of more than 20 new reputable brands.
These include Poonam Collections, Shutter Stop, Quick Cut, Daiso, Poké Bowl, HLA, Nana, Mcalls, Aibi, Amor De Mama, Birkenstock, McDonald’s, Go Noodle, Sugar On Top, Nyonya Leaf, Miki Bakery, Ichiban Ramen, Each A Cup, Sukiya, HoMinSan, Food Arcade, Vivo Pizza and Kenny Rogers Roasters.
More brands such as LC Waikiki & Max, Converse, Harvey Norman and Smiggle will open in the mall in the second quarter of the year.
WCT Malls Management retail chief executive officer Selena Chua said they were pleased to welcome these retailers to the growing mix of high-quality and diverse tenants at the mall.
“With these additions, we will further solidify Paradigm JB as the preferred destination for shopping, dining and entertainment.
“Our mall is more than 93% occupied at the moment and we are aiming to hit 99% by 2019, which is timely as the country gears up for Visit Malaysia Year 2020.
“As a regional mall, we play an important role in positioning the southern region as an ideal retail haven for local and international visitors,” Chua said.
She added that there would soon be a hotel and serviced apartments integrated into the mall and tenants would benefit from the increased traffic once the entire development was completed.
The seven-storey Paradigm JB opened for business in November and has about 500 retail lots.
