Broadening the horizons of landscape architecture

BEING a woman in the male-dominated landscape architecture field means one has to be assertive and strict, such as when dealing with contractors, said Syamim Azhari.

“We need to show contractors that we clearly know what we’re doing. We also need to anticipate issues and be better prepared with solutions,” said the 29-year-old project landscape architect at Aecom Malaysia.
