THE Seberang Prai Municipal Council (MPSP) is hoping that all 2,576 illegal petty traders on the mainland will apply for a licence as soon as possible.
Its president Datuk Rozali Mohamud said that based on a survey, many of them could be eligible but did not apply mainly due to poor knowledge of the procedure.
