FREE coconut water and chips will be given to the participants of Ipoh Starwalk, thanks to Coconut Water (Cowa) Sdn Bhd.
The company will be giving away 1,500 packs of coconut water and 432 packs of coconut chips of three flavours – original, chocolate and honey.
“Cowa is the first in Malaysia to offer locally-packed natural coconut water in TetraPak Prisma Aseptic packaging and one of the first in South-East Asia,” said Cowa operations head Mark Law.
As many people like to snack, Cowa took the opportunity to produce its own coconut chips that is high in fibre.
“The coconut chips are our latest product and was launched at the recent Malaysia International Halal Showcase (Mihas),” Law said.
This is the second year in a row that Cowa has sponsored the event, with the aim to help participants stay hydrated and get enough energy to continue the event, in line with Ipoh Starwalk’s objective of promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Law said by sponsoring the event, the company hoped to expand its reach to the northern region.
Currently in its 15th edition, Ipoh Starwalk will be flagged off at the Perak Turf Club, the official venue provider, at Jalan Raja DiHilir at 7am on May 6.
The annual walk is organised by Star Media Group Bhd in collaboration with Ipoh City Council, Perak Athletic Association and Perak Education Department.
The official hotel is Weil Hotel. The Platinum sponsor for the event is telecommunication company YES.
The Gold sponsor is Indomie while the Silver sponsors are F&N, Sports Toto, Counterpain and Spritzer.
Registration for the event is now closed as the target of 15,000 entries has been reached.
